Role Details:
We’re seeking a skilled Fitter Operator to join our Stapylton Cans Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on a rotating shift roster.
- Rotation shift: 12-hour shifts, Day - 6am – 6pm and Night - 6pm – 6am.
- Week 1 – 4 x Night shifts, Week 2 – 3 x Day shifts, 3 x Night shifts, Week 3 – 4 x Day shifts, Week 4 – no shifts
- Day shift: 6am - 2pm, OT may be required until 4pm based on production requirements
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.
What you’ll do:
- preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery.
- Operating a production line to ensure minimal downtime.
- Set up and fine tuning of machines for optimal productivity.
- Work with high-speed manufacturing equipment, understanding production demands.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing.
What You’ll Bring
- Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter (Cert III in Engineering or higher).
- Welding and fabrication skills are beneficial.
- Significant experience in an industrial environment, preferably in manufacturing with a background in fault finding.
- Forklift licence, EWP licence, rigging ticket are advantageous.
- Able to work autonomously and adhere to deadlines, while also demonstrating excellent teamwork skills.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks with varying levels of priority to minimise downtime.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a safety mindset.
