We are currently recruiting Forklift Operators to join our Recycling Plastics team based in Somerton, Melbourne. These are permanent full-time roles, working Monday to Friday on day and afternoon shift (6am to 2pm OR 2pm – 10pm).
What You Will Do:
Reporting to the shift supervisor, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Operate in accordance with site safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Completing job safety prechecks of the forklift before operation.
- Operate forklifts to move, load and unload materials within the plant, including transporting the recycled bail stock and production material as needed.
- Maintain a daily production logbook and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
What You Will Bring to the Team:
- A current valid Forklift licence is essential.
- Experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehousing or manufacturing environment.
- A good level of physical fitness as there may be some manual handling involved.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Good communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment.
