The Opportunity:

We have multiple Class 5 Linehaul Drivers position available within our Visy Logistics Freight Team. With Visy you're NOT just a driver. You are part of a team where your contributions are valued, and your career can grow.

Routes: Driving Hasting- Auckland and across both the North and South Islands.
Locations: Based out of Hastings.
Hours: min 45 hours, full-time permanent position. You may be required to be away for 1-2 nights at a time.

What you'll do:

• Operate B Train combinations for timely and efficient freight pick-up and delivery to sites across both North and South Island.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant. 
• Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation. 
• Comply with all company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.
• Adhere to all load restraint guidelines to ensure freight is securely transported. 

What You Will Bring: 

• A valid Clean Class 5 Licence and Dangerous Goods Licence.
• Proven experience operating Class 5 Semi-Trailer and B-Train Trucks is essential.
• Experience with Curtain Siders, Truck & Trailer or Container Trailers is desirable.
• Sound knowledge of the regional areas and South Island routes.
• Excellent communication, time management skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• A comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue, and load restraint laws. 
• Pride in the presentation and maintenance of trucks and equipment.
