Role Details:

As HSE Manager - QLD, you will lead health, safety and environmental performance across our South Brisbane and Yatala operations. Partnering closely with site leadership teams, you will drive strategic HSE initiatives, build capability across the business and embed a proactive safety culture that supports operational excellence.

What you'll do:

• Lead and coordinate Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) initiatives across the Yatala multisite, supporting multiple business units. 
• Partner with managers, supervisors and employees to build a high-performance safety culture through coaching, engagement and visible leadership.
• Drive the implementation of Visy's strategic HSE plan, ensuring site practices align with corporate HSE objectives.
• Manage business risk by identifying hazards, improving controls and influencing safe behaviors across operational teams. 
• Work closely with stakeholders across multiple divisions to ensure HSE requirements are consistently delivered and embedded into daily operations. 
• Balance the needs of a complex, multi-site manufacturing environment while establishing common HSE standards and practices

What You Will Bring:

• Proven experience leading HSE programs within manufacturing, industrial or high-risk operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, legislation and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated success influencing leaders and engaging teams to improve safety performance.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and coaching skills.
• Certificate IV in WHS/OHS or equivalent qualification.
• Tertiary qualifications in Safety, Engineering or Business are advantageous.
• Experience using HSE reporting and management systems is desirable.
