The Opportunity

Visy is a global leader in sustainable packaging, paper and recycling, committed to growth, innovation and the responsible use of resources.

Based at Penrith Glass in NSW, the HSE Manager will support the Penrith Glass and nominated other sites across NSW, driving Visy’s HSE strategy, strengthening risk management and improving safety and environmental performance. Working closely with site leaders, managers and employees, you’ll provide practical HSE expertise, support compliance and build capability to achieve sustainable improvements.

What You’ll Do

• Implement HSE policies, standards and management systems across nominated sites.
• Coach leaders and employees to improve HSE compliance, accountability and behaviours.
• Identify operational risks, analyse HSE trends and drive targeted corrective actions.
• Undertake HSE audits and support sites in the development and execution of improvement plans
• Support HSE reporting, management reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance on HSE legislation, risk controls and management system requirements.

What You’ll Bring

• Relevant HSE qualifications and experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Working knowledge of HSE legislation and exposure to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Coaching, communication and stakeholder influencing skills.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to risk management and continuous improvement.
• The ability to analyse information, manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
• HSE auditing and management system experience will be advantageous.
