The Opportunity
Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, this role supports health, safety, environmental, food safety and quality compliance across our Clayton Beverage Can site.
You’ll be embedded on the shop floor, working closely with operations and leadership to ensure standards are upheld, risks are managed, and a proactive safety culture continues to build across the site.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being visible, influencing behaviours, and driving practical improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct safety audits, inspections and compliance checks across site
- Monitor fatigue management and support safe working practices
- Support incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
- Complete environmental and food safety audits to maintain compliance
- Engage with teams on the floor to promote a strong safety culture
- Provide HSEQ updates and insights in production meetings
- Support training, toolbox talks and ongoing compliance initiatives
- Ensure contractor safety compliance and site adherence
What You Bring
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (WHS) or equivalent
- Experience in HSEQ within manufacturing or industrial settings
- Strong capability in audits, risk assessment and compliance systems
- Experience with incident investigation and corrective action processes
- Exposure to ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, FSSC22000)
- ICAM or similar investigation training (advantageous)
- HACCP or environmental auditing experience (desirable)
- Confident engaging shop-floor teams and influencing behaviours
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, hands-on approach
