Role details:

We’re seeking skilled Machine Operators to join our Coburg Cans Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on an Afternoon (3.30pm-11.30pm) or Night (11.30pm-7.30am) shift, with overtime available. 

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Shift Team Leader, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.

• Responsible for printing and coating tinplate with various designs and colours, ensuring adherence to Quality Work Instructions and achieving results as outlined in the site Process Control Plans and Food can Manufacturing standards.
• Clean machines in accordance with the cleaning programmes during periodic maintenance.
• Ensure product compliance with company manufacturing standards.
• Perform and record quality checks in accordance with the Process Control Plans.
• Minimise holdout stocks and ensure all products are identified with appropriate labels and tags.
• Maintain accurate machine downtime records.
• Involvement in department safety, health, and environment accident prevention programs and safety awareness, including Food safety.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience within printing or canning industry.
• Printing trade and Forklift licence are highly beneficial.
• Good knowledge of QC systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong computer literacy and knowledge of continuous improvement programmes.
• 5s and Lean principles experience are an advantage.
• GMP and HACCAP experience is preferred.
