Role details:

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you'll support smooth day-to-day operations while building broad manufacturing skills and opportunities to specialise over time.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role working a day shift roster (7:00am–3:30pm), on a 9-day fortnight with a 35-hour week.

What you’ll do:

• Perform tool and mould changes on forming equipment when changing between bottle, jar and glass formats
• Assist with job changes and associated set-up tasks
• Work across the Forming, Inspecting and Packaging departments as required
• Perform quality inspection checks on newly formed bottles and other procedural checks
• Operate computer production systems and interfaces
• Troubleshoot – assist with general mechanical maintenance and fix minor mechanical problems
• Contribute to a safe working environment for yourself and the team

What you'll bring:

• A strong mechanical aptitude is essential – a trade background or recent graduates from a mechanical, engineering or related discipline are encouraged to apply
• Hands-on experience with tools and machinery – through work, study or practical projects
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is well regarded but not essential – full training will be provided
• The ability to work in a challenging environment – hot, dusty and loud!
• Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure and a good eye for detail
