Production Supervisor - Paper Manufacturing

The Production Supervisor will be involved in and responsible for sections of the daily operations of the paper mill process, ensuring that production targets are met while meeting and exceeding the high standards of quality and safety. You will have a strong background in paper manufacturing, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the paper manufacturing process including the fundamentals of paper quality management.
What you’ll do:
- Support shift teams across paper machine operations, driving safety, output and quality
- Stay close to the floor, supporting teams and solving problems in real time
- Coordinate daily production activities to meet targets in a continuous process environment
- Support shutdowns, maintenance and reliability improvements
- Monitor performance, identify issues early and drive corrective actions
- Build capability in your team through coaching and clear communication
- Work cross-functionally to improve processes and deliver operational outcomes
- Take ownership of on-call responsibilities and respond to plant issues
What you will bring:
- Mechanical or Chemical Engineering background
- 5–15 years’ experience in paper manufacturing
- Strong understanding of paper machine operations and quality fundamentals
- Proven ability to lead teams in a shift-based, heavy industrial environment
- Hands-on experience with large rotating equipment and plant operations
- Exposure to shutdowns, maintenance and continuous improvement
- Project or improvement initiative experience
- Ability to take ownership, drive outcomes, and thrive in a team environment
- Eligibility for an Australian work visa (with sponsorship support)
