We're looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join Visy's Build, Run, Repair (BRR) team at Tumut, in the beautiful Snowy Mountains. Working closely with operations, maintenance and engineering teams, you'll lead the delivery of capital projects across one of Australia's largest integrated pulp and paper manufacturing sites. From equipment upgrades and plant improvements through to major capital investments, your work will directly enhance the site's safety, reliability and production capability.

This is an opportunity for an engineer looking to establish themselves within the business, develop site-wide expertise and take on increasing responsibility over time.

What you'll do: 

• Manage capital projects from concept development through to completion and handover.
• Develop scopes of work, budgets, schedules and contractor packages.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and site stakeholders to ensure safe project execution.
• Oversee installation and commissioning activities across mechanical plant and equipment.
• Monitor project performance to deliver outcomes aligned with budget, schedule and safety targets.

What You Will Bring:

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer or equivalent project engineering experience.
• Experience delivering projects within manufacturing, pulp and paper, mining, chemicals, energy or another heavy industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, piping systems and process plant infrastructure.
• Ability to manage contractors and multiple stakeholders in a live operating environment.
• Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
