Role Details:

We’re seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our innovate Visy Yatala Glass site. This is a full-time, permanent role on a day shift 7:00am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our production can run smoothly and efficiently.

What you’ll do: 

• Conducting precise measurements and quality assessments on raw materials, in-process products, and finished glass bottles.
• You’ll mainly be based in a laboratory setting, within the glass manufacturing plant, where a controlled environment is maintained to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Have regular interaction with Visy Glass production areas and monitoring key process variables.
• Support the production process, by ensuring compliance with product specifications and industry standards through accurate calibration, measurement, and testing procedures.
• Contribute to a safe and compliant working environment.

What you’ll bring: 

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP and HACCP standards.
• Desirable - Certification in Metrology, Quality Control, or a related field.
• Written and verbal communication skills to document findings, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and present quality data effectively.
• Exceptional accuracy and thoroughness in conducting tests and recording results to maintain quality and compliance.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.

• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Team and safety focus, collaborative style of working.
