The Opportunity
Based at Wiri, Auckland and reporting to the Shift Manager, this role is responsible for leading production crews to deliver safe, high-quality output across shift operations. You will take ownership of day-to-day production performance, ensuring productivity, output and quality targets are achieved while maintaining strong safety standards.
You will coach and develop team members, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational outcomes. This role supports afternoon and night shift operations, with the PM shift running from 3:30pm through to early morning. Supervisors are staggered across shifts to provide full operational coverage and effective leadership across the site.
What You’ll Do
• Lead crews to deliver safe, on-time and high-quality production
• Monitor performance, resolve issues and keep operations running smoothly
• Manage non-conforming product and complete NCRs as required
• Train and develop team members, ensuring SOP and compliance standards are met
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and reduce waste
• Deliver toolbox talks and set clear expectations across the team
• Coordinate with internal teams to support efficient workflow
• Escalate safety, environmental or operational risks when required
What You Will Bring
• Experience supervising production or manufacturing teams
• Strong leadership, coaching and performance management capability
• Ability to drive results in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Experience with Lean or continuous improvement practices (desirable)
• Corrugated or packaging industry experience (desirable)
• Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, hands-on approach
