Visy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, remanufacturing and recycling.  Over 75 years, we've grown to 7,000 employees and 150 global operations – predominately in Australia and New Zealand.

We believe materials are not recycled until they’ve been made into new products. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics and metals from households and businesses, and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging. From cardboard boxes, water bottles and jam jars to food and beverage cans, we are using recycled content to power Australia and New Zealand’s food and beverage packaging industry.

Role Details: Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will manage and grow established accounts in the nominated Sydney Southeast territory while growing Visy’s footprint through prospecting and new business development activity.  In working collaboratively with the wider sales team and other key stakeholders in our business, you will nurture existing customer relationships while looking to build new ones.

What you'll do:

  • Retain and grow existing business, and actively seek new business
  • Develop timely and accurate forecasts of customer requirements and carefully manage your territory utilizing Salesforce.com
  • Develop & execute sales strategies
  • Identify process improvement opportunities – be these in our own or in our customers’ business
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders across a range of disciplines
  • Actively comply and contribute to OHS&E policies and procedures

 

What You Will Bring: 

  • Relevant skills & experience gained through Internal / External Sales, Customer Service, or Account management
  • Experience in Packaging and/or Manufacturing would be highly regarded
  • Experience in B2B sales would be highly regarded
  • Exposure to customer relationship management systems (CRM) & well versed in the use of Microsoft products.
  • Autonomous with strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, solution focused
  • Clear, personable communicator with exceptional negotiation and relationship building capability
