About the role
As the Electrical Planner, you will have an established Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to help you hit the ground running and an experienced maintenance and engineering team to coordinate with. This role is based at our site at Gibson Island in Brisbane.
Your strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure will suit this fast-paced environment. In addition, your attitude where no job is too small, passion for learning new skills, and ability to lead by example will fit right into the team.
What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Electrical and Automation Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain detailed maintenance plans and schedules for all electrical systems and equipment.
- Plan, prioritise, and schedule weekly preventative maintenance activities, monthly shutdowns, and project work across the plant using your exceptional organisational skills.
- Supervise, delegate, and coordinate responsibilities to electrical contractors, ensuring they carry out work safely.
- Effectively communicate with production personnel daily for the safe and efficient maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Support the management of electrical equipment spares and repairs.
- Demonstrate your commitment to Health & Safety practices.
What you will bring to the team
- Electrical trade or qualification equivalent
- Experience in the pulp & paper industry is highly regarded but not mandatory.
- Exposure to a 24/7 multi-process/heavy industrial manufacturing environment is ideal.
- High level of interpersonal skills and a readiness to face challenges.
- Tech-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
