About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our Penrith Glass Plant. This is a full-time permanent role with a 9-day fortnight, 35-hour week.
- Monday – Thursday 6.30am – 3pm
- Every second Friday off, other Friday 6am – 12pm
- Overtime available, paid at penalty rates
Reporting to the Process Control Manager, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Install wiring and electrical components and systems.
- Maintain wiring and electrical components.
- Make upgrades to existing industrial electrical systems.
- Perform routine electrical tests and attend breakdowns.
- Diagnose and fix problems with components, wiring and equipment throughout the plant.
- Proactive approach in reporting and identifying hazards.
- Utilise SAP for data collection and analysis of maintenance information.
- Requirement to cover shift workers if needed, after training period.
What You’ll Bring
- Electrical trade qualification and post trade certificate in PLC or Control systems
- Strong experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance in manufacturing environments
- Skills in PLC and automation diagnostics, fault finding and control systems
- A proactive attitude and a commitment to safety
- SAP proficiency an advantage
- Willing to perform physically demanding tasks
