About the Opportunity
We are building a brand-new state of the art glass manufacturing and remanufacturing facility in Yatala just south of Brisbane. The factory represents the large investment we have ever made where we will recycle up to 200,000 tonnes of Queensland’s glass annually to produce 1 billion bottles a year. We are building next to our box factory and beverage can plants which will create a beverage container precinct to further support of customers and create a range of new career pathways for our staff. The project is expected to be operational in 2026.
What you will do:
Closely collaborating with the Electrical Site Manager, you will oversee the execution of electrical construction activities on-site and ensure the successful delivery of the project in alignment with safety, schedule, quality, and environmental objectives.
In this role you will:
- Coordinate and manage site-based electrical contractors, including engineers, supervisors, safety officers, and quality inspectors
- Oversee the construction portion of project plans
- Lead day-to-day planning
- Establish and implement construction schedules and strategies
- Monitor resource forecasting, labour, equipment, material, and services
- Collaborate with the Electrical Site Manager and ensure effective communication with stakeholders across the project
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to monitor work progress and compliance with specifications
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and health & safety standards
What you will bring to the team:
- Experience in electrical construction or maintenance in manufacturing or mining
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple scopes of work
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven people management skills
- A proactive, results-driven approach
- Strong planning, time management, and problem-solving skills
Requirements
- Electrical Trade qualification
- QLD Licensed Electrician
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proven experience supervising electrical construction teams on large industrial or commercial projects
Advantageous
- Greenfield project experience from concept to closure
- Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D design and modelling
- Knowledge and experience with regulatory and permitting processes
