Visy began manufacturing corrugated cardboard boxes in Melbourne, Australia, in 1948 and has grown to become one of the world's leading privately owned packaging, paper, and recycling companies. Our Fibre Packaging division is looking for an Account Manager to manage and grow an established customer base while driving new business development.

The Opportunity

An opportunity exists for a vibrant person to join our successful sales team. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will play a key role in nurturing existing relationships while identifying new opportunities to expand Visy’s presence in the Darling Downs and Granite Belt Region. This is a highly autonomous, dynamic role, ideal for a proactive sales professional who wants to progress in their careers. Due to the nature on the role the position will be remote, and include traveling around our customer and potential customer base sites. There also be occasional travel to Brisbane City when for training and events.  

The role:

As a hands on, highly self-motivated and proactive Account Manager, you’ll thrive in this highly autonomous and dynamic role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retain and grow existing accounts while actively prospecting new business.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that align with customer needs.
  • Provide exceptional service, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for both Visy and our customers.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive business success.
  • Maintain compliance with OHS&E policies and procedures.

What You Will Bring to the Team

  • Experience in B2B sales, account management, or customer service.
  • Background in packaging and/or manufacturing is highly regarded.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Commercial acumen, attention to detail, and a solution-focused mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
