The opportunity:
We are currently seeking a new Maintenance Manager to join the Recycling team on a full-time basis. Based at Laverton in SE Victoria, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for generating action plans and driving continuous improvement with systems to ensure they are efficient, transparent and deliver required results.
The Role:
Reporting to the Site Manager, Laverton Glass, your key responsibilities will be:
- Responsible for OHS&E of employees and visitors and demonstrating appropriate Safety Leadership behaviours
- Responsible for overall Maintenance budget: Planning and Execution
- Continuously driving cost reduction programs within the business and ensuring lowest costs are achieved.
- Budget & Cost Control
- Ensuring internal and external customer relationships and being maintained by assisting in resolving issues as they arise and Vendor Management.
- Develop daily and monthly KPI’s to track progress
- Production Personnel Management
- Provide leadership, direction and support to your teams to ensure resources and skills are available to achieve desired budgeted results.
- Actively manage and review the performance of direct reports including developing and reviewing KPI’s to ensure they are appropriate and accurately measure business progress.
- Technical Training and Development of the team
- Ensure sites are appropriately compliant.
- Compliance to Visy Group and local requirements
- Site standardisation
What you will bring to the team:
- Work Experience managing a team in a process manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience as a Fitter/Turner
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage meetings.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to train others
- Experience managing employee performance
