Visy offers flexo, litho and inkjet printing, its Campbellfield site houses one of the world's biggest pre-print flexo presses, which it uses to transform plain carboard into the high-gloss multi-colour boxes, seen particularly in the beer and wine segments.
The Role:
Reporting to the Production Manager, this role will be permanent full time working Rotating day and afternoon shift with our busy production team in Campbellfield.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Operating print presses safely and efficiently – maxmising speed and quality whilst minimising downtime.
- Leading Printer Assistants to ensure they meet or exceed production standards for output and set up allowance.
- Communicate issues that arise during and between shifts.
- Engage in and promote continuous improvement.
- Housekeeping duties and any other ad hoc tasks required as part of a site production team
- Contribute to a safe working environment for yourself and the team
What You Will Bring to the Team:
- Qualified Printer with 3+ years’ experience working with flexographic press printing.
- Trade Certificate in Printing.
- Have strong interpersonal skills (clear communication, self-confidence, teamwork and collaboration),
- The ability to work under pressure and display a good eye for detail particularly in strong colour and quality control.
- Most importantly is your attitude, you’ll be performance driven, be adaptable to changes in the workplace and be keen to learn new skills, processes, and procedures.
- Maintain safe working practices adhering to safety policies and procedures.
