Role Details: Located at Visy Penrith Plant, Full time permanent positions.
What you'll do:
- Furnace control experience is not essential as on the job training is provided.
- Monitor the melting furnace and its ancillary systems.
- Identify and report the maintenance needs of equipment/furnace.
- Prepare written or computerised operational records as required
- Monitor computer alarms essential to the quality operation of the plant and production systems
- Be involved in Furnace shutdowns/start ups
- Coordinate maintenance work with the relevant departments
- This role will be required to do shift work on a 12hr 2 day 2night roster.
What You Will Bring:
- Good computer skills
- Process control and trouble shooting skills
- Forklift licence (Desirable)
- Front end loader licence (Desirable)
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the work area
- Mechanically minded and be able to work independently.
- Trade Qualification (desirable)
