Safety & Operations Administrator

The Opportunity:

Based at our Penrith Site, the Safety and Operations Administrator will report to the Site Manager.

The Role:

  • Comply with all safety and environmental policies, procedures and processes and instructions
  • Report, document and assist with investigations of all safety and environmental hazards, incidents, injuries, near misses
  • Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained onsite in areas of office staff site interaction to prevent slips, trips and falls
  • Ensure personnel are practising safe production and safe behaviours where observed
  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of safety processes and procedures
  • Procurement of PPE, Stop ‘n’ Think books, permit books, CoR forms, manual wb dockets, etc.
  • Ensure Noggin hazards, incidents, near misses, injuries and entered when instructed
  • Updating daily production and safety reports
  • Raising and Goods Receipting (GR) purchase orders in SAP – ensuring the correct coding and timely GR’ng of POs, matching invoices, goods and reviewing open PO’s
  • Conduct export administration
  • Management of the site Kronos system (payroll system)
  • Management of expenses and P-card
  • Weighbridge administration which includes review of dockets
  • Receptionist duties as required (Phone, mail, filing, stationery order, etc.)
  • Actively participate in divisional efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle
  • Actively participate in site efforts to reduce and keep waste to a minimum
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, including safety, environment, quality, and EEO/harassment
  • Provide complete and accurate daily reporting for production, quality, uptime, safety, and employee timesheets

What you will bring to the team:

  • Understanding and a working knowledge of Excel and SAP
  • Intermediate Microsoft office knowledge
  • Exposure to a safety, environment, and quality culture
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Strong time management skills with attention to detail
  • Adaptability; able to change focus based on the needs of the site at the time
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise accordingly
  • Good understanding of English with the ability to train and relay information to others
  • Ability to work and participate in a team environment
  • Able to cope with deadlines and pressure situations
