The opportunity
As the Solutions Design and Analytics Manager at Visy Logistics, you will spearhead the drive towards efficient and effective warehouse and transport networks, emphasizing productivity and innovation to support our organisation's growth. Your leadership will guide a team of analysts in warehousing and transport, forming a central analytical hub of high performers to pioneer Visy Logistics insights and analytics.
Reporting directly to the Head of Logistics Development, your role is pivotal in fueling rapid growth through inventive, customer-centric logistics solutions, redefining industry standards. Your primary focus will be on leading solution design and implementing advanced transport and warehouse cost simulations for new customers, while also providing insights to optimise existing customer operations.
Key Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Develop and implement innovative strategies for optimising logistics operations, including warehouse management, transportation, and supply chain networks.
- Conduct detailed analyses using simulation and optimisation techniques to ensure proposed solutions are operationally feasible and aligned with business objectives.
- Drive the creation of a central analytical function, utilising high-performing talent to generate valuable insights and analytics.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on logistics design principles and methodologies.
- Assist with proposal development, present tailored solutions guaranteeing alignment with customer needs.
- Collaborating with Sales and Key Account Managers to provide comprehensive tender response, end to end solutions that consider customer supply chains and Visy Logistics operations.
- Use of standardised methods for solutions design and implementation.
To be considered you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business analytics, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related field
- Minimum track record in a managerial or leadership role for at least 2 years
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, and data visualization software.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to successful completion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with safety management systems/software platforms preferred.
- Willingness to travel as needed within the AU/NZ region if required
