Visy Glass has a wealth of experience in crafting pure, sustainable and iconic glass packaging for many of the world's best-known food and beverage brands. We are currently recruiting an Industrial Electrician to join the team at Visy Glass, Penrose. This is a permanent full-time role working 7am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime. This is a diverse and varied role where you will be working closely with maintenance and operations teams across the site. Reporting to the Electrical Process Control Manager, you will work with other members within the site electrician team, leading initiatives in reducing plant downtime by conducting preventative maintenance activities, breakdown repairs, general electrical fault-finding, and to work on projects as required. You will use SAP to record and plan maintenance activities along with maintaining awareness and commitment to employment and legislative responsibilities in relation to safety, quality and the environment.
What you will bring to the team:
You will have a Full Electrical Trade License with post trade qualifications, as well as mechanical maintenance experience from a manufacturing or similar industry. Electrical and Electronics fault-finding (with Printed Circuit Boards, High Voltage Equipment, PLC’s and Motor Controls) will be a strength of yours, as well as reading electrical schematics. Experience within a multi-trade maintenance team and experience with a range of variable speed drives, high voltage and a mechanical aptitude is highly desirable. You are someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, you’re self-motivated and have a proactive approach. You’re a team player that has proficient computer skills, along with good written and verbal communication skills. You value the safety of yourself and others above all else!
