Visy Recycling – CDS Victoria

Visy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, recycling and remanufacturing. We believe materials are not truly recycled until they’re made into something new—and it all starts with Visy Recycling. As a network operator of the CDS Vic North Zone, we provide accessible and convenient refund points for Victorians to claim their 10-cent reward for every eligible container returned.

Based at Tullamarine, this is a pivotal role that would report directly to the GM – Logistics. Great opportunity for a high performing leader to take accountability for the safety, service, and cost of this project with the ability to grow your team.

What you'll do:

  • Ability to drive CDS efficiency and service from internal and external suppliers such as Processing Plants operated by 3PL, Depot’s, and OTCs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes and company objectives
  • Manage supply chain cost reporting including budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to achieve cost-effective operations
  • Management of service providers to achieve contractual KPI’s and Scheme compliance
  • Find win-win solutions for internal operations and customers to minimise cost where possible
  • Commercial and negotiation skills required to successfully manage in-contract performance from suppliers
  • Directly responsible for all aspects of compliance & scheduling including collection frequencies, vessel allocation, along with managing customer issues
  • Frequent travel will be required across Victoria

 

What You Will Bring: 

  • A background in Logistics or Supply Chain ideally within the Recycling or Environmental Services industry
  • Proven leadership experience with an ability to engage and influence Visy’s SLT and external stakeholders is essential
  • Commercial Planning & Project Management experience for continuous improvement of safety, service, and costs
  • Understanding of Inventory flows, S&OP principals, Transport Scheduling, Route Optimisation, and Compliance (COR)
  • High level of computer and software literacy e.g. MS SAP, Excel, Power BI
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build relationships
  • Service focus with pace and passion for resolutions
