The Opportunity

As a critical Division of Visy Industries, we harness the company's substantial volume, footprint, and infrastructure, as well as its manufacturing and procurement prowess, to offer tailored Logistics solutions to all participants in the Industrial, Beverage, and Consumer Goods sectors.
Our Visy Logistics team is currently seeking a Finance Manager Australia – Visy Logistics with exceptional operational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage relationships effectively across various business units. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a flair for problem solving.
The Role
Reporting to the Snr Mgr Finance & Commercial VL AU, this position is a critical role, responsible for leading all finance & accounting activities for the Australian logistics division including business partnering senior stakeholders to drive performance. The successful candidate will lead a team of 5 finance resources supporting a national multimodal logistics network with diverse operations including local & linehaul distribution, warehousing & forwarding operations supporting customers across diverse industries.
In addition to the above but not limited to you will be responsible for:
· Ownership & control of month end close & supporting reporting cadence including analysis & commentary.
· Driving process & analytical innovation through technology solutions & best practice principles.
· Lead business partnering function to the Australian business units & senior management team.
· Leading & developing team members to be a ‘high performing’ team.
· Technical & scalable accounting solutions to support an aggressive growth trajectory.
· Ongoing development & execution of financial planning framework inc. budgets & forecasts.
To be considered you must have:
· Tertiary qualification in Finance and/or Accounting including CA/ CPA qualification
· Minimum 8 years’ experience working in Financing/Accounting roles
· Dealt directly with key stakeholders and upper management
· Experience in people management
· Effective, clear and confident communication
