Visy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, recycling and remanufacturing. We believe materials are not truly recycled until they’re made into something new—and it all starts with Visy Recycling. As Australia’s largest recycler, our extensive network of recycling operations is integrated with our manufacturing sites. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics and metals from households and businesses, and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging.
Visy is currently seeking experienced recycling professionals for the following opportunities:
Operations Supervisor - Murarrie, QLD 4172
Site Supervisor – Murarrie, QLD 4172
Site Supervisor – Carrara, QLD 4211
Site Supervisor – Rocklea, QLD 4106
What You Will Do:
- Oversee day to day operations including workforce scheduling, safety, and compliance
- Develop site specific JSEA and SOP’s whilst promoting Visy safety culture
- Co-ordinate and manage emergency/breakdown work on all plant and equipment as required
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to your team fostering positive work culture
- Internal and external stakeholder management with a focus on continuous improvements and budget management
What You Will Bring:
- Knowledge of Recycling or Heavy industry, with Site Shutdown exposure
- Experience managing a team in a processing and/or manufacturing environment
- Tertiary or trade qualified in Mechanical or Electrical
- Strong organisational, time management, and project management skills with high attention to detail
- Experience in Maintenance planning and procurement / Subcontract management
- Working knowledge of computer software e.g. SAP, Kronos, Excel (Similar)
- Willingness to support a 24/7 operations as afterhours contact may be required
- Safety and team focused with a continuous improvement mindset
