The opportunity
The person we are looking for will be an Operational Fitter and will be part of our team, supporting production of a busy plant, working rostered shift hours.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Be reactive to breakdowns minimising downtime
- Carry out routine checks and planned maintenance to maintain productivity of machines
- Assist in fault finding, troubleshooting and repairs of machinery
- Maintain stock levels of spare parts to assist in making components for repairs
- Update and maintain data records on works carried out
- Uphold and adhere to company policies and procedures in Environmental, Health and Safety
What you will bring to the team
- Hold a Mechanical Trade certificate and post trade qualifications in hydraulics and pneumatics would be desirable
- Packaging industry experience would be of help
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Great work ethic with the ability to work autonomously or part of a team
- Familiar with automation of high speed packaging machines
- Welding and Machining is preferred
- Forklift Licence
