Our integrated recycling and manufacturing operations means we collect paper and cardboard from households and businesses and turn it into up to 100% recycled paper. We are also home to the world’s most environmentally friendly kraft paper mill in Tumut, providing high-quality kraft paper for domestic and international markets. The paper we produce supplies our board facilities across Australia and New Zealand, where it is remanufactured into cardboard packaging for the food and beverage industry.
Role Details:
Reporting to the Reliability Manager, you will be responsible for planning the maintenance around all aspects relating to electrical, instrumentation, mechanical and production of the paper machines, ensuring the operation of the paper machine is optimized. Your strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure will suit this fast-paced environment. In addition, your attitude where no job is too small, passion to learn new skills, and ability to lead by example, will fit right into the team
What you'll do:
- Manage the CMMS system in line with the preventative maintenance strategy with the assistance of the reliability manager.
- Analyse data and troubleshoot mechanical problems to develop short to medium term plans and solutions to optimise paper production and ensure minimum cost expenditure
- Liaise with production and maintenance contractors to plan, schedule and organise maintenance shuts every 6 weeks
- Supervise, delegate and coordinate responsibilities to Maintenance contractors.
- Manage the performance of the Maintenance contractors
- Ensure all appropriate actions are taken to implement and maintain the Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental policy, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Counsel and conduct disciplinary meetings for all Maintenance contractors in conjunction with Contract Managers
What You Will Bring:
- A diploma / degree / trades qualification required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar planning position
- System experience: CMMS, IFS, MS Projects, MS Office
- Understanding of paper manufacturing
- Understanding of OH&S and legislative requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and be a part of dynamic team
