Our integrated recycling and manufacturing operations means we collect paper and cardboard from households and businesses and turn it into up to 100% recycled paper. We are also home to the world’s most environmentally friendly kraft paper mill in Tumut, providing high-quality kraft paper for domestic and international markets. The paper we produce supplies our board facilities across Australia and New Zealand, where it is remanufactured into cardboard packaging for the food and beverage industry.
About the role
As the Reliability Planner, you will have an already set-up and functioning Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to help you hit the ground running and an experienced maintenance and engineering team to work with and co-ordinate.
Your strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure will suit this fast-paced environment. In addition, your attitude where no job is too small, passion to learn new skills, and ability to lead by example, will fit right into the team.
What you'll do
Reporting to the Reliability Manager, your key outcomes will be to:
- Manage the CMMS system in line with the preventative maintenance strategy with the assistance of the reliability manager.
- Achieve and improve on repair and maintenance of the paper machine.
- Review jobs and assess/ make judgement of any mechanical issues that may arise on the paper machine
- Analyse data and troubleshoot mechanical problems to develop short to medium term plans and solutions to optimise paper production and ensure minimum cost expenditure.
- Attend daily production meetings to discuss repair works, improvements and shuts
- Support the mechanical equipment spares & repair management.
- Demonstrate your commitment to Health & Safety practices.
What You Will Bring
- A qualification in engineering or accomplished trade and/or planning background.
- Pulp & Paper industry experience highly regarded, but not mandatory.
- Alternatively, exposure to a 24/7 multi process/heavy industrial manufacturing environment would be an ideal fit
- You will possess a high level of interpersonal skills and will not be afraid of a challenge.
- Flexibility to be part of an on-call roster.
- Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP or other Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
