An opportunity within the Spotswood Plant production team for a Multi Skilled Operator is now open and available for applications. Based at 36 Booker Street and reporting to the Shift Manager directly, you will be working on a rotating shift roster.
The key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Monitor the production of glass bottles in both the Forming, Inspecting and Packaging department;
- Perform quality inspection checks on newly formed bottles and other procedural checks;
- Operate computer production systems and interfaces;
- Assist with job changes and associated tasks;
- Trouble shoot - assist with general mechanical maintenance & fix minor mechanical problems;
- Contribute to a safe working environment for yourself and the team;
- Any other ad hoc duties
What You Will Bring:
- Previous experience working with a manufacturing environment (preferably glass) and hands on experience operating machines
- A trade background is a bonus, however a strong technical aptitude is essential
- You will be fit and healthy and have the ability to work in a challenging environment, hot, dusty and loud!
- Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure and a good eye for detail
Hours of work: 5-week rotating roster, days, nights and afternoons
