About the Opportunity:
Our new state of the art Glass factory in Yatala represents the large investment we have ever made in Queensland where we will recycle up to 200,000 tonnes of Queensland’s glass annually to produce 1 billion bottles a year. With the latest in advanced machinery and control systems, we produce high-quality glass products efficiently and consistently. As we are located next to our box factory and beverage can plants we will create a beverage container precinct to further support of customers and create a range of new career pathways for our staff.
What you will do:
As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring stores inventory management processes, optimising storage strategies. You will play a key role in maintaining optimal stock levels, coordinating with production and purchasing teams, and fostering a culture of safety and efficiency in the store area.
In this role you will:
- Oversee inventory levels for consumables, spare parts ensuring accuracy and sufficiency to meet production needs.
- Implement stock rotation practices to minimise waste and spoilage.
- Direct storage operations ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure the timely arrival of critical materials and spare parts.
- Train, and develop warehouse staff in inventory management best practices, safety protocols, and the use of Internal systems such as SAP
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments in the stores area.
What you will bring to the team:
- Proven experience in stores and materials management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of stores management system, data analysis tools for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Excellent strong abilities in developing highly effective team.
- A safety-first mindset with a track record of maintaining and promoting high safety standards in stores operations.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with an ability to efficiently manage priorities.
- A forklifts licence is advantageous
