Visy’s Build Run Repair (BRR) division is part of the renowned Visy / Pratt group, and is responsible for delivering engineering, procurement, and construction management across Visy’s broad manufacturing footprint. Our latest and most ambitious project to date is now underway—a state-of-the-art glass manufacturing and remanufacturing facility in Yatala, QLD.

This new factory will recycle up to 200,000 tonnes of Queensland glass annually to produce 1 billion bottles a year—co-located with our box and beverage can plants to form a dynamic beverage container precinct. It’s the largest single investment in our history, and a game-changing project for sustainable manufacturing in Australia.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Contracts Administrator to support this landmark project on an 18-month fixed-term contract. Based onsite in Yatala, you’ll work directly for the principal contractor within our Commercial team, liaising with both on-site subcontractors and international suppliers to ensure all contractual obligations are met and project milestones are achieved.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Collaborating closely with Visy Procurement to manage contract documentation and handovers post-tender
  • Maintaining detailed contracts registers and records
  • Building strong relationships with subcontractors and fostering a collaborative project environment
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all contract terms and deliverables
  • Monitor all correspondence in the document control system, following up with the various team members responsible for responses to ensure contract timeframes are maintained
  • Preparing Contracts Administration Plans and ensuring all legislative and commercial requirements are understood and followed
  • Managing contract variations, timelines, and payment claims under the Security of Payment Act (SOPA)
  • Supporting project engineers and managers in commercial matters, including SAP transactions and vendor management
  • Attending and contributing to project meetings with internal and external stakeholders

What You’ll Bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Business/Commerce, Law, Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Experience as a Contracts Administrator on complex, multidisciplinary projects
  • Strong understanding of the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act (SOPA)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), Adobe Pro, and document control systems
  • Experience with project tools such as SAP, SharePoint, Aconex, Asite, or Commnia

Key Attributes:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Sharp analytical thinking with attention to detail
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to contract management
  • Determination to drive contractual outcomes and meet tight deadlines
