Job Title: Divisional Finance Manager - Packaging
Visy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, remanufacturing, and recycling. Over 75 years, we've grown to 7,000 employees and 150 global operations –predominately in Australia and New Zealand.
We believe materials are not recycled until they’ve been made into new products. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics, and metals from households and businesses and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging. From cardboard boxes, water bottles, and jam jars to food and beverage cans, we are using recycled content to power Australia and New Zealand’s food and beverage packaging industry.
Role Details:
Reporting to the General Manager Finance – Packaging this role is responsible for overseeing and managing the planning and reporting functions across Packaging. The role ensures efficient, accurate, and timely financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies. Additionally, it serves as a key liaison with IT and other stakeholders to enhance and optimise reporting tools and business intelligence systems.
What you'll do:
Preparation, maintenance, and oversight of daily, weekly, and monthly management reporting, coordination and execution of rolling forecasts, annual full-year forecasts, budgets, and five-year strategic plans. Serve as the liaison with IT to optimize and improve financial reporting and planning systems. Conduct financial accounting audits to ensure compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards. Assist in financial presentations and business performance reviews.
What you will bring to the team:
- Tertiary qualification in Finance / Business or related discipline with CPA/CA qualification or equivalent Minimum 8 years experience in financial planning and reporting roles
- Strong proficiency in SAP, Hyperion, and Financial modeling tools
- Experience in manufacturing, corporate finance, or recycling industries
- Familiarity with Packaging a business environment
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and verbal reasoning skills
- Strong organisational and prioritization capabilities and a proactive and solutions-focused approach
