We believe materials are not recycled until they’ve been made into new products. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics and metals from households and businesses, and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging. From cardboard boxes, water bottles and jam jars to food and beverage cans, we are using recycled content to power Australia and New Zealand’s food and beverage packaging industry.

The Role:

This role focuses on maintaining optimal packaging flow, people and resource management, ensuring LGV reliability, and managing contractor and supplier relationships to meet production performance, quality, and safety requirements.

The incumbent should have good analytical skills and specialised technical knowledge of automation and process flow.

Key responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

Pack Centre Operations Oversee daily operational and technical aspects of the Pack Centre to ensure packaging efficiency and high reliability of AGV systems.

AGV System Management Maintain high uptime and performance of LGVs through technical oversight, preventative maintenance coordination, and supplier engagement.

Continuous Improvement Identify, lead, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the Pack Centre, focusing on LGV utilisation, packaging flow, and defect reduction.

Technical Process Oversight Conduct root cause analysis and drive process control improvements for all equipment and systems within the Pack Centre.

Contractor and Supplier Management Lead and manage external contractors and vendors involved in LGV operations and other technical service delivery.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Minimum 5+ years' technical experience with automated systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience with LGV systems and packaging equipment
  • Strong process improvement and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated contractor/supplier management experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical or related Engineering discipline
  • Technical leadership
  • Analytical and troubleshooting mindset
  • Supplier and contractor negotiation and management
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Systems thinking with a safety-first approach
