The opportunity:
We are currently recruiting Stacker/Feeder Operators to join our team in Visy Board, Wiri. These are full time permanent roles working minimum of 40 hours per week on either or day or afternoon shifts. As a Stacker/Feeder your main duties will involve tasks such as Stacking, feeding or rework. Reporting to the Shift manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Operate machinery to meet production, service, and quality standards for the manufacture of cardboard packaging.
- Feeding product into the converting machines and arranging product at the machine discharge points.
- Stacking products onto palettes for further processing ensuring all board stacked are neat and stable.
- Assist in machine setup, dismantling and job changes tasks for a production run.
- Perform quality inspection checks and other procedural checks to ensure the best quality is delivered to our customers
- Maintain safe work and operating practices, and a high level of housekeeping at all times.
What you will bring to the team:
As our new Stacker/Feeder, you will have previous experience operating machinery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be a reliable team player, with a strong work ethic. You have good communication skills and processes a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environmental practices. Along with the following:
- Ability to work a 8-12 hours shift depending on needs of the business.
- Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment.
- The ability to work under pressure and display a good eye for detail particularly in quality control.
