The opportunity:
We are currently recruiting a Job Change Fitter to join our team in Visy Glass, Penrose, Auckland. This permanent, full-time role, working in the Hot End of the manufacturing plant, 40 hours a week Monday to Friday (6am to 2.30pm), with opportunities for over time.
Reporting to the Job Change Manager, you will be working on the Glass Bottle Forming Machines to change out the Moulding Equipment and re-setting the Mechanisms to ensure the Job Change meets the quality & operational requirements. Once the Machine is back in Production, you’ll follow the flow of Glass Bottles down the production lines whilst conducting Checks on the Ware Quality, Identifying Defects and finally ensuring that the Pack is correct on the Pallet.
This is a diverse and varied role where you will be working closely with maintenance and operations teams. While maintaining and ensuring all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
What you will bring to the team:
As our new Job Change Fitter, you will have prior experience within an industrial/manufacturing environment, preferably within a similar environmental condition as the Hot End (i.e. Steel industry). You’ll be able to demonstrate a very strong mechanical aptitude (whilst not essential, a mechanical trade background will be highly desirable). You have the ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment. You are a team player with a strong work ethic, who has good written and communication skills and processes a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
