State Sales Manager – Visy Board NSW

The Opportunity

As State Sales Manager – Visy Board NSW, you’ll lead a team of 16 (including 6 direct reports) to deliver profitable sales growth across NSW.

This is a pivotal leadership role within Visy Board NSW, responsible for shaping and executing sales strategy, strengthening customer partnerships, and fostering a high-performance, safety-first culture.

You’ll collaborate closely with Operations, Commercial, Design, and National Sales teams, while also representing Visy Board NSW externally across customers, distributors, and industry groups.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Championing safety leadership and embedding a strong safety culture across your team.
  • Delivering sustainable and profitable sales growth in line with budget and margin targets.
  • Developing and executing a 3–5 year sales strategy aligned with Visy’s broader goals.
  • Strengthening customer engagement, retention, and satisfaction through proactive account management.
  • Driving new business development across territories, opposition accounts, and growth segments.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing your team with a focus on succession, engagement, and wellbeing.
  • Partnering across the business to deliver continuous improvement and customer-focused solutions.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Proven success in sales leadership within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with Visy products and customers.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to achieve growth and margin improvement targets.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or Sales (preferred) plus a valid driver’s licence.
  • Resilience, customer focus, and the ability to thrive under pressure while delivering results.
