Role Details:
Routes: Supporting our Visy Freight Division team and doing runs across both the North and South Islands.
Locations: Based out of Tauranga.
Hours: minimum 45 hours, full-time permanent position. You may be away for 1-2 nights at a time.
What you'll do:
- Operate B Train combinations for timely and efficient freight pick-up and delivery to sites across both North and South Island.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.
- Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.
- Comply with all company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.
- Adhere to all load restraint guidelines to ensure freight is securely transported.
What you will bring to the team:
- A valid Clean Class 5 Licence and Dangerous goods licence.
- A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience operating Class 5 Truck and B-Train experience is essential.
- Experience with Curtain Siders, Truck & Trailer or Container Trailers is desirable.
- Sound knowledge of the regional areas and South Island routes.
- Excellent communication, time management skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- A comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue, and load restraint laws.
- Pride in the presentation and maintenance of trucks and equipment.
