Routes: Running to various local locations across Melbourne metro and regional Victoria  

Locations: Based in Laverton (OR Dandenong)  

Hours: 8 - 10 hour shifts with AM starts - Enjoy work life balance!!! 

  
What you'll do:  

• Operate and maneuver semi tipper trailers, safely loading and unloading between customers sites. Experience with scrap steel is highly regarded. 

• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.   

• Ensure timely and efficient pick-up and delivery of freight, maintaining adherence to schedules.   

• Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.   

• Comply with all company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.  

• Adhere to all load restraint guidelines to ensure freight is securely transported.   

What You Will Bring:   

• A valid HC License with 2 years Australian driving experience.  

• Experience with tautliners, flatbeds, retractable or container trailers.   

• Sound knowledge of the VIC metro & regional area  

• Provide a full 5-year demerit point history report.   

• Excellent communication, time management skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.  

• A comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue, and load restraint laws.   

• BFM Certification – or willingness to obtain.  

• Pride in the presentation and maintenance of trucks and equipment.    

• Part of the pre-employment process, you’ll be required to successfully complete the Visy Practical Driver Assessment.
