The Opportunity
As the Management Accountant for the Bulk Logistics division under the Visy Logistics division, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the success of the Visy Logistics operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing critical financial insights, analysis, and reporting to facilitate informed decision-making. This is a high revenue growth area and business partnering closely with operations to deliver new projects.
The Role
You’ll report to the Finance Manager and be based in either our Clayton or Epping office, with a flexible split of 3 days in the office and 2 from home. In this role, you’ll partner with the Bulk Logistics management team, providing financial and accounting support to help drive business growth.
The primary purpose of the role includes responsibility for the following areas:
- Financial reporting and forecasting, delivering accurate monthly results and actionable insights
- Analyse prime material costs, identifying variances and supporting cost optimisation
- Enhance R&M analytics and dashboards (Qlik) to improve visibility of cost drivers
- Manage Capital Expenditure (CWIP) from proposal through to capitalisation and budget alignment
- Oversee major shutdown (MSD) costs, resources, and contracts, driving efficiency and delivery
- Support the annual budgeting process with accurate and timely cost data
What you bring to the team:
- 5+ years’ experience in finance or accounting roles
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Advanced Excel skills and strong overall system capability (SAP/Hyperion desirable)
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to work
- Adaptable, quick to learn, and committed to delivering results
