Role details:
We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our Mareeba Board Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on a day shift 6am – 2.30pm. Reporting to the Operations Development Manager, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.

What you’ll do:

• Install, assemble, repair, and service machines including glue lines, roll-overs, conveyors, cylinders, belts, carton erecting machines, and automated systems.

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery.

• Work with our skilled production team to resolve issues with minimal downtime.
• Manage inventory and stock control of spare parts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to production machinery and packaging systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing.

What you’ll bring:

• Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.
• Strong experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance in manufacturing environments.
• Willingness for electrical fault-finding and repair.
• Passion for your trade and commitment to continual growth.
• A proactive attitude and commitment to safety.
