The Opportunity
Visy Board is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance operations at our O’Connor manufacturing facility in Perth. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee preventative maintenance systems, repairs, capital projects, and ensure maintenance activities support operational performance targets. You will work closely with operations and site leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage costs, and develop a high-performing maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and electrical maintenance teams and drive safety compliance
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs, repairs, shutdowns and new equipment installations
• Manage maintenance budgets, stores, contractors and suppliers
• Drive continuous improvement and plant reliability initiatives
• Coach and develop the maintenance team to achieve operational targets

What You Will Bring

• Maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
• Mechanical or electrical trade qualification or engineering background
• Experience managing preventative maintenance, reliability programs, budgets and projects
• Strong safety leadership, compliance knowledge and industrial relations experience
• Continuous improvement mindset with Lean manufacturing exposure
