Join a flagship Visy site where you’ll apply your chemical engineering expertise to take ownership of plant performance, solve complex process challenges and drive real optimisation outcomes in a world class pulp mill, with clear pathways to grow your career. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Process Engineer will work across operations, projects and continuous improvement, delivering measurable impact in a high investment, technically advanced environment.

What you'll do:

• Monitor and optimise plant performance, focusing on cost, quality and efficiency
• Investigate process issues and implement sustainable performance improvements
• Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions across the plant
• Identify and deliver optimisation opportunities across throughput and resource use
• Support and deliver capital projects, trials and process changes
• Partner with operations and maintenance to improve reliability and performance
• Take ownership of process areas and drive continuous improvement outcomes

What You Will Bring:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar
• 8+ years’ experience in process engineering within heavy industry or manufacturing. Pulp mill experience will be very highly regarded
• Strong background in process optimisation, troubleshooting and plant performance
• Experience working with large scale equipment or complex chemical processes
• Ability to lead initiatives and influence outcomes across site
• A proactive, self driven approach with a focus on results and improvement
• Strong communication skills working with both technical and operational teams
