As Australia’s largest recycler, our extensive network of recycling operations is integrated with our manufacturing sites. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics and metals from households and businesses, and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging.

The opportunity

Visy Recycling is seeking a dedicated and experienced Queensland collection Fleet Supervisor to join our team at Gibson Island. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of our fleet operation, ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective performance across service delivery, driver management, fleet maintenance and compliance.

This is a Monday to Friday role, with start times typically between 5:00am and 7:00am and shifts generally ranging from 10 to 12 hours depending on operational requirements.

Service Delivery: Meet service levels for contracts and respond to operational issues within agreed timeframes.

Driver Management: Support driver training, compliance, performance and staffing levels to ensure safe and effective operations.

Fleet Management: Maintain vehicle standards, scheduled maintenance and compliance with procurement and operational processes.

Cost Management: Control labour, repairs and maintenance costs while supporting route efficiency and operational improvement.

Health, Safety & Environment: Promote a strong safety culture, manage compliance and support the resolution of operational and driver-reported safety concerns.

What you will bring to the team

• Proven experience supervising logistics or fleet operations in a complex environment.
• Experience maintaining a heavy vehicle fleet.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse operational team.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with SAP experience an advantage.
• A strong commitment to safety, compliance and environmental standards.
• HR Licence beneficial but required for a start
