About the opportunity:

We’re seeking a skilled Electrical Line Maintainer to join our Coburg Beverage Cans Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on a rotating shift roster.

Shift details:

• 12-hour shifts, Day - 7am – 7pm and Night - 7pm – 7am.
• 2 On, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off – swapping between Day and Night every 2 week cycle
• Weekends and Public Holidays as part of roster paid at penalty rates.

What you'll do:

• Complete electrical fault-finding and repairs on PLCs and electrical automation equipment.
• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery.
• Operating a production line to ensure minimal downtime and high quality.
• Set up and fine tuning of machines for optimal productivity.
• Work with high-speed manufacturing equipment, understanding production demands.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing.
• Become involved in continuous improvement initiatives and project work.
• Support planned maintenance and changeovers.
• Work closely with maintenance, engineering and production teams.

What You Will Bring: 

• A-Grade Electrical License with electrician qualification.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, packaging or automated production environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with an interest in PLCs.
• Ability to operate and optimise complex machinery.
• Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
