The Opportunity

Reporting to the Technical Manager, this role leads the technical and quality function at Visy Board Wodonga. You will ensure compliance with quality and food safety systems while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Working closely with operations, maintenance, supply chain and sales teams, you will provide technical expertise across product, process and raw materials, while supporting data-driven improvement initiatives, site training programs and product quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the site technical and quality function, including laboratory management
• Maintain compliance with ISO, FSSC, GMP and internal quality systems
• Manage non-conformance investigations, audits and corrective actions
• Analyse process and quality data to drive continuous improvement
• Provide technical support across manufacturing processes and product quality
• Support supplier performance, product trials and raw material evaluations
• Develop and deliver technical training while mentoring site teams

What You Will Bring

• Experience in a manufacturing, production or packaging environment
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and food safety standards
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
• Ability to analyse data and drive improvement initiatives
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the business
• Experience managing audits, non-conformances and compliance systems
• Strong organisational and planning skills with a focus on results and quality outcomes
