Opportunities

Our well-established Visy Carole Park Board site has opportunities on either the day or afternoon shift. You’ll be working Monday – Friday in small teams, operating machinery. Reporting to the Converting Supervisors who have worked their way up from the factory floor, so both truly understand all the requirements of every role, inside and out.

What you’ll do: 

• Operating production machines used for the manufacture of cardboard packaging
• Assist with production job changes, physically move the large rotary die cutters dies and cutters that shape the board into box blanks add slots, cuts, and folding lines.
• Perform quality inspection checks and other procedural checks to ensure the printers that add branding, logos onto the cardboard meet the specifications.
• Housekeeping duties and any other ad hoc tasks required as part of a site production team.

What you’ll bring: 

• You’ll have previous experience within a manufacturing environment and hands-on experience operating machines.
• Be physically and mentally ready to roll up your sleeves, be performance driven, and able to focus on achieving the production targets.
• Reliable and able to commit to working a full working week, every week, on either the day or afternoons shift.
• Ability to understand written production instructions to ensure correct ink colours and dies are selected every time.
• Ability to learn and take on new information as you progress through the machine operating roles. With each level of extra expertise and skill, your pay level increases!
• Strong team focus, life experience and commitment to safety on site. 
• Good communication skills, self-confidence, collaboration and desire for stable regular income and work life balance.

Headstart in application process given to any applicant with experience operating any of the following packaging machines: Gopfert, Bobst, Corrugator, Emba, Ward

Day shift Mon-Thurs: 6:30am-3pm and Fri 7:00am-12:30pm

Afternoon shift Mon-Thurs: 3pm-11:30pm and Fri: 12:30pm-6pm

Immediate start subject to background checks and weekly pay cycle.
