Role details:
As a Shift Electrician, at Visy Beverage Can based in Clayton, you’ll be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations by maintaining equipment, supporting your team, and driving continuous improvement. This is a full-time permanent role on a rotating Day (7am – 3.30pm), Afternoon (3pm – 11.30pm) and Night (11pm – 7.30am) shift roster with monthly RDO and overtime available.

What you’ll do:

• Troubleshooting & performing repairs on automated machines
• Continuous improvements focus and involvement in projects
• Working alongside our mechanical team and operators to resolve any faults
• Ensure ongoing electrical support to the production team and upkeep of machinery and equipment to minimise downtime and maintain productivity and waste targets
• Perform routine electrical tests, complete planned maintenance and attend breakdowns
• Working a rotating shift roster - day, afternoon and night

What you’ll bring:

• Electrical Qualifications with an A-grade electrical license
• Experience in planning for and working on preventative maintenance and breakdowns
• Fault finding and troubleshooting experience will be key
• Experience in Automated machinery, PLCs and Drives would be preferred
• Knowledge of AS/NZ S 3000 and ability to read electrical schematics / drawings
• Adhere and maintain OHS policies and procedures
