Role details:                                                                                      
We’re seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join our Truganina Board Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on a afternoon shift 2pm – 10pm with overtime available. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll play a role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.

What you’ll do:

• Working alongside the maintenance and production team to complete routine and planned maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns on production machinery.
• Working autonomously as you will be the only fitter on shift.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing.
• Guidance and mentoring apprentices in their development.

What you’ll bring:

• Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and working alongside production.
• Troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance skills and knowledge.
• Passion for your trade and able to work autonomously with limited supervision.
• A proactive attitude and commitment to safety.
