The Opportunity

Based at our Ingleburn plastics manufacturing facility and reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll be the site's second-in-command, leading day-to-day manufacturing and maintenance operations across a 24/7 facility. You'll play a key role in maximising plant reliability, developing frontline leaders and delivering safe, efficient operations while supporting continuous improvement and long-term business performance.

What You'll Do

• Lead manufacturing and maintenance activities across a 24/7 operation.
• Maximise plant reliability, equipment availability and production output.
• Develop, coach and support a team of approximately 40 manufacturing employees.
• Deliver Lean initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce waste and optimise costs.
• Manage maintenance planning, operational budgets and site resources.
• Coordinate equipment upgrades and minor capital improvement projects.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer and business outcomes.

What You'll Bring

• Leadership experience within high-volume manufacturing, FMCG or packaging.
• Experience managing production, maintenance or engineering operations.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and problem solving.
• Proven ability to improve equipment reliability and operational performance.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Trade qualification or Engineering degree (Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred).
• Experience managing operational budgets and performance metrics.
• SAP or manufacturing ERP experience is advantageous.
• Experience in Injection / blow moulding is advantageous
